(By Brindisi mail — London, April 25.) Tiirkb days after the date of last communication from Mr Stewart, per San Francisco mail, he writes via Brindisi as follows :• — " I have signed tho contract with the contractor this evening 1 , and I hope in the course of a few weeks to bo in a position to wire you according 1 to' my code." By the above we understand that Mr Stewart has everything in roadinoss, and has been waiting for a favourable market to place the railway debentures. This read in the light of the cable, message received on the 19th May, is highly encouraging. Mr Stewart concludes ; " I expect there, will be considerable excitement at Taurangal when the messago reaches you."
