OPUNAKE.

Mr Bryce arrived at Par'ihaka on Wednesday evening, and came here last night. This morning a deputation of Opunake citizens waited upon him, and presented an address, congratulating him upon the successful opening of the King Country. Mr Bryce thanked the deputation, and said that the King Country might be considered open for surveys for road and railway purposes, but with regard to other surveys he anticipated considerable delay. He again referred to the delays in taking o«rveys in the Waikato, and said that, v ike bad state of things continued, there ttMst be delays.
