cess.

Hunter and Nolan report : — The cattle supply has been adequate of all descriptions, and the demand is steady with little alteration in value. There was a moderate muster of stock at Waiuku on Saturday, but a large quantity of sundries had the effect of prolonging the sale. The prices for stock were scarcely so high as at Nowmarket, but in the present stato of the iroads vendors were more than compensated by the avoidance of driving. Although there was heavy rain on Tuesday morning, there was a large attendance. Dairy cows were in excess of requirements, and prices scarcely came Tip to ideas of settlors.
