/KAITANGATA BOWLING CLUB. . The annual general 'meeting of the 'above club"'was held in the club's pavirioii*<oiv Thursday evening, when a fair number of iinemibcrs. attended.' Mr Pryde (president) was in. the chair. 'Mr Pryde moved the adoption of the.. report and balance-sheet, and. iiv doing so referred to the poor season the club had experienced! last year owing to the epidemic, and then to the flood,, stating that the flood water was about oft deep on the green. Owing to' the length of time it was under water the grass could not recover, so that the club this year would have to consider what could be done to restore the grass. The .motion was seconded by Captain Rutherford and carried The financial' positron proved that the club, notwithstanding-the flood, was in a good position, finishing up the; season with the suin of £l4 in hand. The following officers were elected:— Pii'esidenjti- Mr M. C. Brown; vice-presi : Pryde; committee, Messrs it Carson, J. Oliver, W. Penman, J. Eyley % .SMcFadyen, and E. Jjaveryv:;/' After • -considerable discussion the subscription was fixed at the same amount* as last year—viz., .first-year players, £1; -others, £1 10s. The president, in speaking of the club's competitions, referred to the cup presented by Mr Hcnnigan, and regretted that competition was not completed owing to the flood. The following votes of thanks were carried:—To the ladies, donors'" of prizes, the press, and also to Mr R. "Carson for his valuable assistance as see-

FORESTERS' DRAMATIC COMPANY The Foresters' .Dramatic Company staged! "The Masked Marriage" at Kaitangata on-Friday last, the 'hall being w"ell filled. Everything went with a ' swing. A dance was held afterwards, and was kept .up to 2 o'clock, the floor . being crowded.
