STEVENSON'S PICTURES. j Two splendid features- drama and comedy will be presented by Mr Stevenson at the Milton Town Hall on Monday evening. The big dramatic at* traction is " The Making Over of Geoff Manning" in which Labour and its troubles form the most leading theme. Geoff Manning, the son of a wealthy ironfounder, is accustomed to talk of the working man as a loafer and a person prons to strikes and riots, Stung to the quick by a taunting remark on his uselessness, overheard at bis club, he leaves his society butterfly sweet" heart, and battles into the world to make a living. He finds it no bed of roses, but for.very shame's sake, sticks to it and makes good. The film contains some very startling photography including scenes of the burning factory. The story is one of much power and depth and there is a fine thread of grim humour throughout, The whole play is f/esh and strongly interesting, The comedy feature in this programme is regarded aB the very best of the Mutual * Chaplin productions, and is entitled "The Count The famous Charlie seems to have made a great hit in this comedy which is said to be irresistibly funny, and quite the "latest thing" in noblemen. The programme also includes a particularly interesting Pathe Gazette, "Valley of Chalvague," etc.
