Mr Alex. M'Leod reports having sold the well-known pacing etallion Kinetic to Mr Jamea Bobinaon, Moneymore, White driving oat to work at the flaxmill at Moneymore yesterday morning, Mr W. Groves had the misfortune to have his motor car destroyed by fire in the vicinity of Mr Oookburn's residence. From some unknown eause the car sud* denly became enveloped in flames, with the result that the body was destroyed, The secretary of the Overseas Club (Dunedin) notifies us that they are holding a street rally on Slat inst. Any flowers contributed by wall-wishers in this district will be gratefully reoeived, The proceeds are tor the purchase of soldiers' comforts, The latest sale of residential property is that of Sergt.-major Pryde's house, on the Springfield road, to Mr Jas. The police would be glad to receive information from anyone relating to the late John Watson, who oommitted suicide at Clarksville last Sunday.
