COWBOYS' RACE FOR A BRIDE.
A race wluch. it was stated, was for a bride, took place lately atl Colchester between two cowboys, Frank Joy and Billy Leo, members of a company performing in the town. Bonita, a champion woman rifle shot engaged in the same company, had declared herself, it is said, _ unable to choose between the rival suitors and agreed to abide by the result of the race, the winner to be the bridegroom and the loser the best man. The cowboys rodo their favorite mounts round the military polo ground in tho presence of a large crowd, and Lee was the winner by a length.
