Education Board Election.
On Tuesday alternoon we were able to issue an extra giving particulars ot the election of members to the Education Board. There was a very general feeling here that Messrs Mackenzie, Fraser, and Malcolm would be returned for Southern Ward, and the voting shows that the new member for Clutha was not far out of the running. Mr Mason got a medium sup port, and the Rev. Mr Kilpatrick had evidently some supporters, even after he had announced bis intention of retiring. Ot the o'd Board who went for election under the ward system, Messrs W. Snow (Outram), W. Nicoison (Hampden), and A. Marshall (Oainaru) were defeated. The new members are Messrs G. C. Israel ard W, Scott (Dun'edin) and Rev. P. B. Fraser (Lovells Flat): — Souihern Ward—T. Mackenzie, M.H.R. Kaikorai, 478, Rev. P. B. Fraser, Lovells Flat, 857, Mr James Sim, Tapanui, 245 (elected), Wm. Snow, Outram, 239, A. S. Malcolm, M.H.R., Clutha, 235, W. D. Mason, Middlemaroh, 102, Rev. J. Kilpatrick, Green Island, 29. !
