MILTON v. GREEN ISLAND.

On Tuesday four rinks of the Green Island Club paid a visit to Milton - to indulge in. a ■ friendly match against the Milton Club. . A \ start was made at about 9.30 a.m., and,' as on ' the previous day, the weather was all that '. could be desired,. and the green in excellent order. The match resulted in a victory for the Milton team by 8 points. An adjpurnment was then made for lunch, alter which a return match was played, this also ending in victory for Milton by 35 points. At the conclusion of the day's play, Mr M. Henderson (president 1 ) beatify? tWnJted the visitors, and promise^

them that the Milton Club woul tl pay a return visit, when they w«uld have a chance of turning the tables. He then called on the home team to give three hearty cheers for the visitors, which were lustily given, with musical honors. Mr Aitchison responded, thanking the local players for the hearty manner in which the visitors had been entertained.
