MILTON v. CALEDONIAN.
The seventeenth annual match between the a'liove clubs eventuated 01 the Milton green on Monday, and, unlike the majority of its predecessors, resulted in a victory (or the Caledonians by nine points. The .weather vva» perfect, and the green was in capital unier, rcncciing great credit on the caretaker, wlu> had .-pared no pains to make it in .such conditionals delights the heart of a bowler. Ketreslmieiils were provided on (he green, and ihe visitors were also entertained at lunch. At the dose of the game ihe usual complimentary speech -js were made by Mr VV. Taylor (Milton) and Mr W. Dawson (Caledonian). Four rinks w<.re engaged, and the final scores were : —
