Messrs Moritzson and Hopkin, Dunedin, report as foilowa for weefc ending 27 cb September : — We would aßk farmers when sending samples alwayß to put a price on them, aa buyers will not make offers. Wheat— Prime samples are readily placed at quot&Monß, but other sorts have lesß inquiry than of late. We quote : For best velvet, 2b 4d to 2b 6d ; best Tuscan, 2s 5d to 2a 7d ; medium, 2s 3d to 2s 4d. Fowl feed ia in good demand at from Is lOd to 2s per bushel. Oats. — Suppiiea coming to hand have been light, and prices are firmer. We quote : Prime miliing Is 5d to la s^d, beßt feed, la 4d to Is 4£d, medium and inferior Is Id to la 3d per bushel. Barley. — Feed sorts are quoted at le 6d to 2s ; milling, 2a to '2s 3d ; malting, 2s4dto 3a 3d. Ryecorn.— 2ato2s6i?. Flour: We quote £6 10s. Oatmeal, Pearl barley, £12. Bran, £3. Pollard J3 10a. Nelson hope are quoted at 8d to lid, f.o.b. PotatoeB — Prime Derwents are worth from 22s 6d per ton for beat. Other sortß unsaleable. Chaff — A. good demand for prime samples. We quote : Prime, £2 5a to £2 7a 6d medium £2 to £2 2a 6d. Ryegrasß — The demand is goodBuyers' ideas of values are from la 3d to Is 9d for ordinary seed and up to 28 for particularly clean lines. We quote : For farmers' dressed, Is 6d to 2a, machined 2s 6d to 2s 9d, extra to 33. Cockßfoot, 3|d to 3|d for farmers' lots, and 4£d to s^d for machined. Linseed £10i Pressed straw, 25a. Clover hay, £3 sa. Nitrate of soda, £15. Clovers, rape, &c. just landing. We can offer all classes pure and fresh. Hides. — 3d to 4£d, according to weight and condition. We h&V6 a special order, and can guarantee top prices. Tallow. — Rough fat, 9a tolls 6d ; rendered, 12s to 163. I t horsehair.— ls 2d to la 4d. j j SheepokißS. — We held our usual weekly ' sale, when we offered a large catalogue. Dry croßsbreda brought from 28 6d to 5a 9d ; inferior, Is 3d to 2s 4d; dry pelts, 8d to Is 6d ; dry merinoß, 3s to 6s ; inferior, Is to 2s ; butchers' green crossbreds 3s 9d to s=. Rabbitßkina— We offered a large cata* logue thia week. Competition was good aft prices which ruled about the same as last week. We quote : Suokers and runners 3d to 6d, summers 6d to 9d, autumns lOd to 14d, winters 15d to 16£ d, and selected 17d per lb. We undertake country clearing sales. FBUIT AND PRODUCE REPORT. Butter : Prime Bait, 7d ; medium, 6£d. Butter cases, witn parchments 188 per dozen, Cheese : Faotory, 4£d to 4|d ; dairy, 4d to Hi. Pigs.— For best quality, 3£d. Beeswax— ls 7d for prime quality. Fruit. — We receive consignments of all kinda of fruit and garden prodme, which we sell either by auction or privaiely, aa W8 think best in the interests of consignors
