AD DING TON STOCK MARKET.

Chriatchurob, September 6. Tbe entries at Addington were fairly large, and a good demand existed for fat sheep and pig?. The entries comprised 5820 fat cheep, 3COO store sheep, 437 head cattle, and 366 pigs. Fat Cattle— The 437 fat cattle were mostly light sorts ; for bnllockß the bidding was dull, and last week's rates were barely maintained. Good eteerß brought £7 to £8 sa, lighter sortß £4 17s 6i to £6 lOj, heifers £3 15* to £6 2a 6d. ?ac -beep— The bulk of the fat sheep were gocd wethers and a large yarding of batchers' ewes of good quality, with un unusual proportion of secondary merino wethers. Butchers' ewes are much firmer, but there were too many merinos in for trade purposes. Prime heavy ■ weight merinos troogut 19a to 21a 6d, freezing quality and prime mixed sexes 15s to 15a 9d, prime ewes 16a to 18j 6d, good do 14a to 158 6J, best merino wethers 143 to 15s 10d, others down to 10a. Store Sheep — A gooi many of the store sheep were No<tn Islanders, and all sorts met a good demand, Wethers brought 13d 5d to 15 i Bd, others being withdrawn at from 13j 3d to 11s 41. Mixed two-tooths Bold at 13a 10d to 14a sd, breeding ewes, 14s Id to 14 7d, hoggets, 12s 5d to 13s 4d for good sorts, and 9« 7d to 11s 7d for back. WJkrd sort?, merino wethers 10a 6d, Pigs — with the exception of baconers, which were slightly easier, nil pigs met with a good demcin 1. B.coners brought 35s to 45 j orßd to 3^l per lb, porkers 30a to 37 -s or 4Ji to 4£ par lb, large stores, 24a to 30s, smaller d", 18 > to 235, weaners, 13a to 17 J , and Buckcru, 10) to lie.
