(Fkom Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting of the Havelock Cemetery Truatees was held in theschoolhouse on Saturday evening, when there were present Messrs Livingston (chairman)} Cowen, Garden, M'Kenzie, Eyan, J. York and Patrick (secretary.) The minutes of last meetiug were read and confirmed. An application from Mr John Ltujeu to erect an iron railing round sections 7 and 8, block X, Havelock Cemetery, waa received and permission granted. — Accounts to the amount of £7 19a lOd were passed for payment. — Messrs Cowen and G-arden were appointed auditors for the current year. The chairman reported that he had examined the fence between tbe Cemetery paddock and Mr Martin Ryan's and found the same to be in a dilapidated state. — It was resolved that the Work's Committee be empowered to have a new fence erected, and to use aa much of the old material as is suitable. On Monday .evening of last week a committee meeting of the Blue Ribbon Society was held at the Manse for the purpose of drawing up rules for the re-organisation of the Society, and a full meeting of the society is to be held in the Templar's Hall on Friday first to receive the Committee's report and re-organise the Society on a more substantial basis. IVr some time past the aociety has been in a kind of lethargic state, and the present move is to rouse the members from their lethargy, and instil new life into the members. The Blind Musicians gave one of their concerts here a week ago and were well patronised. A sickness styled German measles haa been very prevalent here for some time. At first the persons attacked get over their sickness ve v y easily, but as the weather gets colder, the patients do not recover so quiokly. The sickness is not confined to the youDg folks only, for both old and young have been laid up by it. Apart from this little epidemic our locality has been remarkably free from Bicknets. Mr R. York, the contractor for the Episcopal Church, ia getting on rapidly with tbe work. The walls are finished and roofed in, co that the remainder of the work can now be pushed forward independently of the weather. From a distance the church has a pretty appearance, and is quite an ornament to our little towDship, The weather continues showery, but on the -whole is good for the season of the year. The Mount Stuart School Committee have recommended Mi&s Dunlop for the position of head teacher of their school, in place of Misß Harlow, who goes to George Street School next week.
