Football Notes

Both the first and second fifteens of the local club were unsuccessful in their matches wiih the Northern Club, in Dunedin, on Tuesday. The la tier lost by Bpts to 4pte, while the senior team was defeated by Bpts to 3pts. Owing to pressure on our space we are compelled to hold over detailed reports until next issue. A match was played at the Rec. on Tuesday afternoon between two junior teams, Northern and Southern. The game resulted in a win for the Southern team by three goals (13pt8.) to nil. Tries were scored by J. Powley and Reid, A. Littlejohn and Powley converting. F. Clask also kicked a penalty goal. Mr C. Keen made an efficient referee. ________^^_ —
