Winter Show

The second annual Winter Show of the Tokomairiro Farmem 1 Club takes place to-day, in the Skating Rink. Every thing has been done by the promoters to make this annual event a pronounced suecesß, and there ia every reason to think that* their efforts vvill be rewarded np to the fuf limit of anticipation. In the Dairy Produce glass there are about 40 entries, and the entries in the Grain and and Roots olaßßaaare quite as numerous aa they ware last year, if not more bo. Tbe turnips are very good, and are better tban might have been expected, considering the season. la the Field Turnip competition there are 23 entries for the four classes, which is much better than last year, when there were 26 entries fer Biz classes. As baa been already stated, no pains have been Bpared to achieve something more than a mere local success, and fine weather is alone needed to bring together a very large number of visitors. The show will be open for the admission of the public at 1 p.m., the prioe of admission being Is.
