THE WOOL SALES.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following cable message from their London office, dated 24bh inst :— " Toe wool sales opened at an average deoline of 10 per oent, on merino and 5 per oent on crossbred as compared with closing rates of last sales. Attendance of both Home and foreigu buyers ia good, and competition fairly aotive. The total quantity available, including wool held over from last series, is 462,000 bales, 50,000 of which have been forwarded to the manufacturing distriots direct."
