DUNEDIN STOCK REPORT.

Following is the report of business done a Burnside on Wednesday : —

Fat Cattle. —2s9 yarded. About a quarter were medium to prime quality, tho rest were in good store condition. Sales opened at about last week's rates for best lines, while others were in less demand, there being n« turnip feeders present. Best bullocks sold at £7 10s to £9 7=» 6d, others £3 15i t.. £7 7« 61 ; besc cows ac £5 12, 6 d to £8 12s 6>, others £3 5s to £5 10 1.

Fat Sheep.— To-day's market was supplied with 340 merinos of fair quality, and 2091 crossbreds, the greater part being ewes, with a few pens of line wethers. The lattet were mostly taken tor freezing at last week'tquotations, otber sorts were in fjir request, bnt the attendance of butchers was sm&l and prices a shade lower, say 61 to ls oisome pens, but there was a good deal of fluctuation throughout the sales. Best crossbred wethers sold at 14* to 16* 6d; others, 12a 6d to 13s Oi ; best orossbred ewes, 13s to 16s 3d ; others, lis to 12i Qd ; best merino wethers, 10b to 12s 6d ; others, 8s to 9« 6d.

Fat Lambs. — Only 176 penned. These were all prime quality, and sold well. Beßt sold at lis to 14a ; others, 9a to 10a b'd.

Pigs. — John Grindley (on behalf of the Farmers' Agency Company. Limited) sold porkers at 21s to 46s ; stores, 10s to ISs ; suckers, 6s to 9s od.
