M r George Kiss reports. — There has been a large supply of horses from city and suburbs, as well as a few odd lots from the country. The attendance daily has been good and bidding dull, except for upstanding useful young animals, which sold slightly better than previous week, no doubt in consequence of several being purchased for Kimberley, and expect an improvement again shortly. Useful horses are scarce, and not many high-class horses are to be seen. Heavy draught are selling slightly better. Active draught and van horses without alteration. The following are my quotations during the week :— Best saddle and harness horses, from £20 to £35 ; useful ditto, from £10 to £17 5s ; active draught and van horses, from £15 to £23 15s ; heavy draught, from £24 to £30.
