Meenan reports under date May 21: —Wholesale prices for the week are as follows, including bags : Oats, ls 9d to 2s ; wheat, 3s 4d fco 3s 9d, market firm; fowls' wheat 3^; barley, malting, best 3s to 3s 3d, milling 2s 6d, feeding 2s to 2s 3d ; chaff, £3 5s to £3 10a; straw, 35s ; bran, £5 10s ; pollard, £6 ; hay, £3 5s ; rye-grass, £3 ; potatoes, kidneys, £3, derwent, £3 per ton ; butter, fresh ls to Is 2d, salt (prime in kegs,) 9d to 9_d; hams, 9d; bacon, 7d ; rolls, 6^d; eggs, 2s per dozen; flour, £8 10s to £9 ; roller flour, £9 10s to £10 ; oatmeal £11 10s.
