Messrs Brown Brothers and Co. report. — The following sales of horses and vehicles, at the City Horae and Cattle Baziar and at Camperdown, for the week ending, April 28, are reported :— 3l heavy draught horses, at from £21 to £35 ; 16 medium draughts, at from £16 to £18 ; pair buggy horses at £35, pair light carriage horses at £75 ; also 16 stylish saddle and harness horses at from £18 10s to £34 ; also 28 horses, principally inferior light harness and medium draught sorts, at from £1 10 ato £12 ; and a small mob of New Zealand draught horses, at the Camperdown Yards, at from £15 to £27 10s. The market has been ver} 1 dull during the past week, no doubt to some extent influenced by the Easter holidays intervening. Useful heavy draught horses, however, meet with more inquiry, and should the present rains continue there is every probability of the market regaining a healthier tone. Stylish light harness horses also continue in good demand, and all that came forward met with a ready sale at late rates. Pairs are not much inquired after, unless with plenty of size, sfcyJe, and quality ; such as thrs3 we could always place at long figures.
