Messrs Donald Reid, and Co. report :— Wheat— There is a fair supply. Prime milling samples meet with slow sale at barely late rates } inferior parcels are practically unsale able. Oats— A few parcels have been placed for shipment during the week. There is a large BU pply. No change in yalue to report. B ar l e y_The market is fully stocked, with no demand ; prices favour buyers. Grass Seed. — A large supply, but no demand at present.— Bran meets with inquiry, and sales are made at £3. Potatoes find buyers at from £2 12s 6d to L 3 per ton. We quote wheat: Prime milling, 3s 8d to 33 9d; medium do, 3s 6d to 3s 8d; fowl's feed 2s 7d to 3a 2d. Oats: Best milling and feed, Is 4d to Is sd. Barley (nominal): Malting, 2s 8d to 3s, milling do, 2s 6d to 2b 7d. Bran, L 3 per ton. Grass seed, 2s 6d to 3s 6d. Potatoes — Best Derwents, L 2 12s 6dto L 3 per ton. i Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report : — Wheat — Prime milling qualities are in demand, with little offering. We quote really first-class samples at from 3s lOd to 3s lid ; ©rdioary, 3s 6d to 3s 8d ; inferior and fowl's feed, 28 Gd to 2a 9d. Oats are in moderate request, more particu'arly short bright feed. We quote prime milling at la 5d ; good short feeding sorts, Is 4d ; mixed and weather-stained, Is 3d per bushel. Barley — In the absence of sales we refrain from giving quotations. I Mr Donald Stronach reports :— Wheat: Sales have been made of good milling Northern wheat at tip to 3s lOd. For medium we quote 3s 3d to 3a Sd, at which most parcels coming to hand can find buyers, although the demand is not active. Of fowl feed we have made sales at 2s 9d but the market is quiet. Oats: We can make no change in quotations. Prime milling is worth Is sd, .and feed oats Is 2d to Is 4d, according to quality. Barley : Nominally quotations remain the same as last week — say prime maltiDg 3s to 3s 3d ; milling 2s 6d ; but there has been no improvement in the demand. Messrs Maclean & Co report : — Wheat: There has been a slight demand during the week but | without any apparent advance in prices. Prime samples have been sold at 3s lOd ; ordinary, 3s 6d to 3s 8d ; fowl feed 2s 9d. We have disposed of SOO bags at quotations. Oats : There has been more inquiry during the past week, at prices lately quoted, viz., Is 3M to Is 4d for feed, and Is 41d to Is 5d for milling, at which price we have sold several hundred bags for local consumption. Barley dull of sale.,
