The Volunteers.
-*. — ,1 To-day the Bruce Rifles will fire the return match against the Dunedin. City Guards in conjunction with teams from six other companies, on the the Anderson's Bay ranges, The following are the names of the Bruce team :— Captain Pettit, • Lieutenant Scott, Sub-Lieutenant Reid, Sergeant Marryatt, and Privates M'Lachie, Nutsford* Moore, M'Kechnie, Mafcheson, sen., and Grant. The i No 1 Olutha Company will be represented, by Sergeants Darling and Hogg,' and Privates J. Willocks, J. C. Anderson, Blackie, Smaill, W.- Willocks, Horn, A, Anderson, and ' Wright; Lieutenant Smaill in command. The members of the Bruce Rifles' will com- ' pete for the usual Queen's Birthday prizes to-day, and the scores, of the representative team in Dunedin will also count. The first ' match will start at half-past nine o'clock, and the conditions are : Ranges,. 400, 500, and 600 yards, 7 shots at each range. There are ! seven prizes, ranging from £3 10s to 10s. The second match is for non-prize takers, ! and will start at 12 o'clock, and the condiditions — Ranges, 200, 300, and 400 yards, 5 sLots at eacL range, and any pbsitlttn. Tb&f6 are five prizes from £1 10s to 10s.
