Wednesday, June 16th, (Before J. P. Maitland, Esq., E.M.) R. GRIGOR V. THOS. m'kAY, JUNR. In this case plaintiff, for whom Mr Reid appeared, claimed £35 9s on a dishonored bill. The hearing of the case was postponed. R. m'DONALD V. DUNCAN. This was a claim of £28 3s 8d ou a dishonored cheque. Judgment was confessed. R. HI'dONAID. V. W. I/ATEMORB. Plaintiff sought to recover £41 6s 6d Qn a dishonored promissory note. The case was postponed. A. PEAT V. J. WRIGHT. This. was a claim of £42 Is 6s for 51 bags of ; wheat. Defendant admitted a debt of £32 Bs. Mr Taylor appeared for plaintiff and Mr Reid for. defendant. Evidence was taken, and his Worship reserved judgment. A. WEfITE V, T> BIiACK. was a summons fbr 'assault, £50 damage^ being claimed. Mr Taylor appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Reid for the defendant. ; Plaintiff swore that at James Black's hotel, Waipahee, on the 17th of May, defendant pushed him down and kicked him without any provocation.
