TRENTHAM RIFLE MEETING. HALLIDAY (KARORI) WINS THE BELT. YESTERDAY'S SHOOTING. [press association.] TRENTHAM, March 11. The Colonial Ammunition Company's Cup went to the Karori Rifle Clubs B team. This cleared the way for the Championship Match, which was opened at 3.15 in unpleasant weather. Halliday, of Karori, soon forged ahead, and was never quite overtaken by his opponents. In the Teams Championship prizes for the highest aggregates in sectional firing and cover firing matches went to Opaki No. 1, £lO.. 540; Napier Guards and Opaki No. 2, £4 10s each, 530; Linwood, £3, 527. THE KING'S PRIZE, 1000 yards, ten shots.

The winner of the championship was "chaired." from the ground to the- enclosure, where the general distribution of prizes took place. Lady Waird handing prizes to the winners. The usual speeehmaking took place in. a heavy downpour. Dakin, commander of the Australian team, expressed thanks for the hospitality received bv himself and team.
