A GUN AND SPENT CARTRIDGE DISCOVERED. [press association.] HAMILTON, This Day. A gun and spent cartridge have been found hidden in a hedge adjacent to the spot where the bankers were lived upon at Mystery Creek. There seems little doubt the attack was premeditated. There was no sign of tiie culprit, though other important clues are in possession of the police. A SUSPECT. HAMILTON, This Day. A lad named John Minton Paull was arrested this morning in connection with the Mystery Creek affair. It _is alleged he was seen in the vicinity on horseback, and the gun found is said to correspond with one in his possession previously.
