BRIGANDS IN SPAIN.
ATTACK A CONVENT. Press Assn—By telegraph—Copyright. (Received January 19, 9.00 a.m.) MADRID, January 18. Brigands attacked a convent at Bocaviente, in Spain, for the purpose of despoiling the historic church. Hie nuns barricaded the windows and doors, and armed themselves with pistols and guns until the guard rescued them, killing and wounding five brigands. Three nuns were injured.
