BRIGANDS IN SPAIN.

Brigands attacked a convent at Bocaviente, in Spain, for the purpose of despoiling the historic church. Hie nuns barricaded the windows and doors, and armed themselves with pistols and guns until the guard rescued them, killing and wounding five brigands. Three nuns were injured.
