Representatives of New South Wales and South Australia visited Hull and -watched the discharge of Australian frozen produce. They •were favorably impressed Avith the methods of handling and distribution. Mr 0. A. R. Murray, director of victualling for, the Admiralty, has written Mr Tanner, Agent-General for Victoria, complaining that a Melbourne firm ha'd contracted in June to supply 100,000 pounds of tinned rabbits, and had only delivered 20 per cent. The contractor explained he would be unable to supply the balance for many months. Mr Murray states that Victorian tinned rabbits had proved highly satisfactory, and was much appreciated in the 'fleet. He feared the break of contimiity of the supplies would destroy the* steady demand which was developing.
