Canterbury Slaughtermen's Union were satisfactorily settled this afternoon. The agreement is satisfactory to both parties concerned. This morning's New Zealand Times understands that a conference tonight of employers and slaughtermen's representatives arrived at an agreement to operate throughout at 25s per hundred and eight-hour day. with fines for damaged skins abolished and preference to unionists.
