LONDON, yesterday. • The Canadian delegates proposed a ■■- resolution favouring a State-owned system of electric communication between India and Canada to Vancouver, thus completing a State service from England to Canada to Vancouver. Mr George Fenwick (Dunedin) strongly supported- the claims of the Pacifio Cable. It Avas already a great success, but it would never be a complete success until State ownership was- established,- to England. Messrs Gresley Lukin (Wellington), Mark Cohen (Dunedin), T. Fink ■(Melbourne) and T. Temperley (NeAV South Wales) also supported the motion. Some of the Australian delegates ■questioned State competition unless •existing interests were fairly treated. The motion Avas carried. . A similar resolution was adopted -with" respect to South Africa.
