AUSTRALIANS v. YORKSHIRE. MATCH ABANDONED. \ i Press Assn — By telegraph— Copyright. 1 (Received this day, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, yesterday. The match was abandoned. Australia lost three wickets for 77. Principal scores : Bardsley 5, Noble 27, Ransford (in) 32, Armstrong (in) 12, sxmdries I. Rhodes took two wickets for 45, Hirst one for 19, Haigh none for 12. The weather on the resumption of the game was breezy and sunny, and the wicket drying. Hirst opened the attack. Macalister placed his second ball in Myers' hand. Rhodes removed Bardsley's leg stump. At 12 Noble was dismissed by a running catch. The third wicket fell at 40. Ransford played a vigorous game. Rain stopped the play, and contimimg caused the abandonment' of the match. The attendance was 3000.
