The weather on the resumption of the game was breezy and sunny, and the wicket drying. Hirst opened the attack. Macalister placed his second ball in Myers' hand. Rhodes removed Bardsley's leg stump. At 12 Noble was dismissed by a running catch. The third wicket fell at 40. Ransford played a vigorous game. Rain stopped the play, and contimimg caused the abandonment' of the match. The attendance was 3000.
