On Friday next the Misses Jenssen will open tea-rooms in Cosmopolitan Buildings, No. 1 (upstairs). A suite of rooms lias been secured, and these have been; tastefully and suitably furnished. Every effort, will be made to adequately meet the wants of customers, and the young ladies will no doubt receive a full share of public * support. The Lux tearooms' will fee opened daily from 10 a.m. to 5p.m., and will also be opened on Christmas Eve. A performance of "The Messiah" was given in the Napier Cathedral last night, and proved very successful. -Miss Newcomb-Ha.il,. of Dannevirke, sang the soprano music very artistically, and has. been warmly congratulated upon the- result of her efforts. The work is to be repeated on Friday night. Miss NewcombHall has been engaged for the second production, and in consequence her pupils are notified that she will not be able to Tesume teaching this week.
