The football social and dance was held on Friday evening in the Town Hall, when there was a good attendance, Mr W. McKay, secretary, had everything well arranged, and the success of the club is greatly due to his labors. Songs were rendered by Messrs Yates, Olsten, Liversedge, Hawkins, and McLeod. The Maoris gave a good display of the haka. In a very able speech, the Sub-union banner was presented to Takapau Club by Mr Gordon, Makotuku. Mr McKenzie replied on behalf of the Takapau Club. . A medal, given by Mr "VV. Thomas, was presented to Mr McKenzie for having been the best back player for the season. Miss Maroney played the piano, and Mr R. Hall acted as M.C.
