WOOL, SKIN ANO HIDE SALE.

<* Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Palmerston North, report : — At our wool, skin and hide sale to-day we offered 40 bales and bag lots of wool, 2(300 skins, 850 hide?, and 8 casks tallow, horse hair, bones, etc. We had a very keen sale for all lines offered, prices showing a decline of to Id in sympathy with othe.x markets. Green skins showed a fall of Is per skin. We quote :— Wool : Medium crossbred 6f d to 8;jd ; dead, 6£d to 8:fd; crutchmgs, bright, (sif to 7-j-d ; inferior and medium, s£d to GJd. Skins: \ to h wools, Bhd to 9 ; } d; full wool, B|d to d\d; lambs, 9£d ; shorn lambs, B^d ; dead inferior, 4:fd to Gffd ; good dead, 7?d to 7id ; butchers' green and half dry, 6s od to 6s lid to 7s 8d to 7s lid to 8s 6d to Os ; butchers' lambs, 4s to 4s 8d to os ; salted, 4s to os 4d to 6s lOd to 7s 4d; all damaged skins Hd lower than above quotations. Hides : Heavy ox, 25s to 27s ; medium ox, 22s Qd to 24s 6d; light, 18 s6d to 20s 6d ; heavy cows, 24s 6d ; medium, 20s 6d to 22s Cd ; light, 10s to 19s 6d; yearlings, 5s 7d to 7s 3d ; calves, 2s 7d to 3s 6d. Tallow, etc. : In casks, 20s 9d to 21s 9d per cwt; in tins, 17s; rough fat, 11s 9d. Horse hair, Is 7d per lb ; tails. Is 7d per dozen. Bones, 3s 3d per cwt. Rabbit skins, S^d per lb.
