Wool and Skin Sales.
Williams and Kettle, Ltd., report having held their peiiodical sale of wool, skins, hides and tallow. The trade was fairly represented and bidding proved fully up to valuations. We offered 270 bales, 77 pockets, 5 fadges and 22 bags of wool, 2600 skins, 113 hides and 34 packages of tallow.
We realised the followingf prices : — Wool — Crossbred from 3jd to od, lambs 3£d to 4jd, bellies aad pieces 2^d to 3|d, locks ld to 2id. Skins— Merino s£d, half-bred 4£d, crossbred 2*dto4id. Pelts— Salted ls 4d, salted skin and short wooled Is lld, dry pelts od to Is. Hides — Under keen competition for high class quality. Heavy ox ojd, medium weight 4|d, cow from 3|d to to 4jd for very special lot, bulls up to 16s, dry hides 3d to 4£d, calf skins 3sd, hoise bides up to 3s 9d. Tallow— Up to 255, station packages from ljd ty 2|d, rough lid.
