- _. ■ , ■ » . n ■ A meeting of the- executive of the above association was held at Makotoka on Saturday. Present— Mewrs W. A* Johnston (chair), F. A. Garry. F. B, Curdj and .D. McLeunan It was decided to advertise iv the DANOTSVIMC|r- ~» Advocate, Waipawa Mail, and HawMe's Bay Herald, inviting tenders for refresh* ment booth.. The charges for admission to the ground were fixed as follows :•—- Competitor* free, other children 3d, It vh decided to procure a "obanii pionship banner " to be held for one year by th» school securing the greatest number of points, all events— both boys* and girls' — to count, firsts 5 points, seconds 3 points, thirds 2 points. ; The following gentlemen were ap* pointed to act as starters :— Boys' rnnning events, Mr C. M. Wbittington ; girls' running events, Mr B. Bibby ; cycling events, Mr John Cavghley. The judges seleoted were the following: — Boys' running events, Mesarct E. Bissell, jnr. and J. Hialop; girts' mining events. Messrs W. Wiseman and J. H. Bull; cycling events, Mr John Caughley ; section D, Messrs E. P. Soundy and James Caughley ; jumping, Messrs W. J. Hunter and F. A» Garry ; section E. Messrs A. Stevenson and F. B. Curd (Messrs D. McLennan, M. R, .Grant 1 , and F. A. Garry to be stewards) ; '. military events, Sergearit- Major Finn ; dumb-bells, wands and clubs. Mr C. Tricklebank ; decorated bicycles, Mesdamos James Bibby, H. Hill, and James Williams. Mr W. H.Johnston was appointed press steward, and it was decided to ask the Waipawa School Committee to act as ground stewards.
