Herbertviile.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The rainfall for the month ending October Slst as recorded by Dr Riddell is as follows :— 2nd, 12;' sth, 04; 6th, •18 ; 16th, 21 ; 17th, '98 ; 18th, '18 j 19th, •35 ; 20th, 07 ; 23rd, -33 ; 25th, -16 ; 26th, 1-57 ; total, 4' lß incheß. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at Wimbledon on Wednesday by the Rev. F. E. T. Simcox, the contracting parties being Miss Emma Wiffen, youngest daughter of H. Wiffen, Esq., of "Woodlands," Wimbledon, and Mr George Carmicbael, son of Mr A. Oarmichael, of Dannevirke. The bride was given away by her father, Mr W. A. Cittadini being best man, and Miss A. Herbert attended the bride as bridesmaid. A sumptuous breakfast was provided by the bride's parents. In the evening a dance was held and was largely attended, showing the esteem in which the bride was Held. .
