At Royston tbo train was embedded in twenty feet of snow. The British steamer Aboukir Bay foundered in the Bay of Biscay, and twelve persons were drowned. A four- masted steamer foundered with all bands off the Yorkshiro coast, and another off Land's End. The P. and 0. steamer Ballarat met with fearful weather on the voyage up the Channel. The skylight was smashed and the stanchions carried away. 154 wrecks are reported in England and France. The Australian Chilling and Fraezing.Company has declared a dividend of 7J p»r cent, and will shortly increase the amount of capital. A heavy fall has taken place in the prico of English coal since the strike was settled. Sir A. Clarke is urging the Admiralty and Horse Guards to take Victorian butter for stations abroad.
