Lord Sheffield has cabled stating that be has abandoned the project of bringing out another cricket team next summer, owing to the unexpected difficulty in getting a good team together. A writ has been served on Sir Gr. Berry, for illegally Bitting in tbo Legislative Assembly. The grounds of objection are not stated, but they are supposed to be owing to his acceptance of tbe position of Treasurer, and proceeding to the ' second election before be had been sworn in as a member upon hie first election.
