MANAWATU WEDDING

POWELL—SHERER

BRIDE FORMER AUCKL.ANDER

All Saints Church, Palmerston North, was the «cene of a pretty wedding recently, when Miss Betty Sherer daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F W. 'Shcrer, of Palmerston North, formerly of Auckland, became the wife of Mr. William Gladstone Powell. She wore a beautiful trained wedding, gown of cream brocaded satin, with a filmy laceedged tulle veil. She carried white roses, gladioli and carnations. The bride's attendants were Mavis Poole (the bride's sister) and Peggy Rowntree of Palmerston North, who looked charming in blue organza frocks with pin-tucked bodies. Pink carnations formed their bouquets.
