GANGER INJURED
JIGGER STRUCK BY TRAIN O.C. WHANGAREI, this day. When the jigger on which he was riding struck the north-bound passenger train, due to arrive at Whangarei at 10.50 p.m. last night, Mr. Jack Whitihira, aged 21, a ganger, of Waiotira, was injured. The accident occurred between Waikiekie "and Waiotira. Mr. Whitihira was brought to Whangarei by train and was admitted to hospital, suffering from lacerations to the left ankle, shock and slight abdominal injuries. His condition is satisfactory-
