Fruit. —Tomatoes, hothouse, 2/11 to 5/ lb: oranges, local, sweet, 27/ case; tree tomatoes, new black, 10/ to 20/6 case, yellow, 10/ to 15/, N.Z.. 6/ to 9/; lemons, Meyer, 9/2 half case; passion fruit, 10/ to 31/ case. Poultry.—The supply was fair and the demand was keen. The prices paid remain unchanged. Selling rates were:—Cockerels: Heavy breeds, prime, 11/ to 13/ each; not prime, 5/ to II; light breeds, prime, 6/ to 7/6; not prime, 3/6 to 5/. Hens: Heavy breeds, 7/ to 8/ each; light breeds. 5/ to 6/. Pullets: Heavy breeds, best, 8/ to 10 I each; smaller, 5/ to 7/; light breeds, best, 6/ to II; smaller, 3/ up.
