NGAHERE EARNINGS
Net earnings of £18,765 in 1944 against £22.637 the previous year are reported by Ngahere Gold Dredging, Ltd. (West Coast). The profit increases the credit balance to £65,640. Production for the year and also for seven months of the current year, suffered from the decreasing efficiency of the old bucket band. With the new band installed, much better returns are expected, the report states.
