MADE FINE SHOWING

Josedale Grattan made a grand showing in the Free-for-All at the Metropolitan Trots last week-end for a horse which had not raced for nearly three years. He trailed Gold Bar until the last stride, where he was snapped out of second money by the evergreen Dusky Sound. The American horse should more than Justify the decision to recommission him. He is' on 48 yards in the Lightning Handicap to-morrow, but has a tough race in front of him.
