KAITAIA'S NEW STATUS
O.C. WHANGAREI, this day. As from September 1 next, the Kaitaia town district will, by proclamation, be a borough, and the election of the first Mayor and borough council will take place on October 27. Advice to this effect has been received from the Department of Internal Affairs by the returning officer, Mr. W. H. Atkins, who is also secretary of the present Town Board.
