BRITISH PRISONERS
RELEASE EXPECTED SOON Rec. 12.30 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 22. The War Office announced at a Press conference that it was hoped to release up to 60,000 United Kingdom war prisoners and civilians in the Far East as soon as possible. The number might bo anything up to 250,000, of which one-quarter are in areas north of the Philippines. The remainder are in southern areas.
