. I wonder if Auckland knows that [: in the passing of Mr. Henry Hay- | ward we have lost one who worked | and wished for and helued those | trouble or distress. Very few knew ; the extent of his charity. He was always an ardent and keen worker j for penal reform and up to the last was a keen' worker and helper.
