ROSE CUTTINGS

When the rose pruning demonstration is held at Parnell civic rose garden to-morrow afternoon one result will be an accumulation of armfuls of prickly cuttings, which the authorities will be anxious to dispose of in the easiest way, and the public will be welcome to them. Dozens of varieties, both of exhibition and decorative roses, will be included. The superintendent of parks, Mr. J. A. McPhersbn, who will give a talk on pruning, will be assisted in the practical part of the demonstration by four experts, two from the City Council staff and two from the Auckland Rose Society.
