£2000 FIRE LOSS
AUCTION MART DESTROYED
MIDNIGHT HASTINGS BLAZE
p.A. HASTINGS, this day. Fire which broke out shortly before midnight last night completely destroyed the auction mart of Gordon Walker, Limited, in Russell Street.
The contents, including office records, were a total loss. The estimated loss is between £1500 and £2000.
Everything was in order when the premises were closed at 5.30 p.m. and it is. not known how the fiVe occurred. The insurance on the building is £400.
