CRASH INTO POLE
ONE KILLED, THREE INJURED
ACCIDENT IN CHRISTCHURCH P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. One passenger was killed and the driver and two other passengers were seriously injure 1 when a car coming off the Heathcote bridge toward Christchurch at about 3 p.m. yesterday struck a telegraph pole and was almost completely wrecked. They were:— Killed Mr. Eric Hugh William Sandford, milk vendor, aged 26, married, with two children, of Heathcote. Injured Mr. Ronald James Brown, driver of the car, a milk vendor, of South Brighton. Mr. Errol Mervyn Sandford, aged 20, brother of Mr. Eric Sandford, of Shirley, serious head injuries. Mr. Rex Lawrence Sandford, aged 24, brother of Eric and Errol i Sandford.
All the injured are in a serious condition.
