BRITAIN'S MEAT RATION

Your timely leader on the above subject is a lead to New Zealand on which you are to be congratulated. We here hardly know that there is a war on, excepting, of course, our fighting men. It would be no great hardship to cut our meat ration in half, and that would undoubtedly be a great help in keeping the small meat ration in the Homeland where it is. I do not think New Zealanders will need to be asked twice, realising as they do what six years cf bombing means. The people are ready for the authorities tc act at once, and thereby earn the gratitude of Great Britain. F. JOHNSTON, President, Auckland Radiant Health Club.
